Calling all members who are passionate about developing areas of interest in Lifestyle Medicine!
ASLM is embarking on a project to develop and support Lifestyle Medicine Interest Groups (LMIG) in a range of fields relevant to Lifestyle Medicine.
LMIGs vs Working Parties
Interest Groups are different to Working Parties. ASLM already has a number of Working Parties in the following areas:
- Lifestyle Medicine Prescription and Resources (LMRx)
- Lifestyle Medicine Education (LMEd)
- Lifestyle Medicine Engagement and Advocacy (LMMe)
- Shared Medical Appointments (SMAs)
- NZ Chapter Working Party
- Student Movement Working Party
LMIG Aims and objectives
Structure and support
- Initiation and ongoing promotion of the group
- Management of the group membership and a group email address
- An online forum for the group within the ASLM website
- Zoom meeting facilities
- Ongoing management/reporting as to the objectives of the group
The first LMIG to be established is:
- The digital health LMIG will convene in March with the initial aim of better utilising and integrating a range of digital health programs, services, devices and apps into the Lifestyle Medicine community. If you are working in digital health or just fascinated by it, please consider joining this group!
