There are many similarities between the principles on which Lifestyle Medicine is based, and the traditional values of the first nations peoples of Australia and New Zealand.  One of which is the important role of the Elders and Knowledge-keepers which helps ensure the ongoing care and respect of history, culture, language, environment, community and family.

We are proud to honour Prof Garry Egger, known around the world for his pioneering work establishing and developing the field of Lifestyle Medicine, and Prof RV (Uncle Bob) Morgan, a widely respected educator and Aboriginal elder for his wisdom and guidance of ASLM over many years.
