The next board certification exam will be held on Monday 10 June in Auckland, immediately following Lifestyle Medicine 2019. The deadline for registration for the Auckland exam is 7 April 2019. After this, registrations will be closed.
Includes:
- 120-150 item (3-4 hour) exam, 10 June 2019 (following Lifestyle Medicine 2019), Auckland
- Peer-review and feedback (eg: for case study) as needed
- Self-guided education materials and coordinator to assist your candidature
Does not include:
- Travel and accommodation to attend the exam
- Courses, workshops, conferences you may attend in order to prepare for the exam, eg:
- Lifestyle Medicine Core Competencies (LMCC) (offered by ACLM/ACPM)
- Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course (LMBRC) (offered by ACLM)
- Other activities you may undertake to meet the requirements of certification, eg:
- Attending 10 hours of Lifestyle Medicine specific CME/CPD

Categories of Certification are as follows:
- Certified Physician (Medical doctors)
- Certified by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine
- Requirements: 150 item exam, case study, 10 hours CME/CPD
- $1650 exam fee + non-refundable registration fee of $330 = $1980
- Certified Professional (Masters/PhD level health professionals)
- Certified by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine
- Requirements: 120 item exam, case study, 10 hours CME/CPD
- $1320 exam fee + non-refundable registration fee of $330 = $1650
- Certified Practitioner (Degree level health professionals)
- Certified by the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (not IBLM certified)
- Requirements: 120 item exam, case study, 10 hours CME/CPD
- $1320 exam fee + non-refundable registration fee of $330 = $1650
- Can be upgraded to ‘Professional’ level on award of Masters or PhD within 3 years
